Why can I not order at Surface.Love as a private person? Surface.Love is addressed exclusively at businesses and the self-employed. Our goal is not to sell hardware, but to establish modern workplaces at a fixed monthly price for every business. As easily as you receive software on a monthly subscription basis today, companies will for the first time have the opportunity to implement high-performance workplaces in the same process.
Can I deduct the investment of the running expenses as business expenses?
If you decide to choose as-a-Service or leasing, you can claim the expenses for tax purposes without affecting your balance sheet. As you do not own the hardware as an as-a-Service or leasing customer, you do not have to depreciate it.
If you decide for financing, please note that you have to record depreciation for tax purposes as well.
What are the differences between our services?
As-a-Service & Leasing In the case of as-a-Service or leasing, the devices are provided to you by our lessor for a fixed period of time. At the end of the leasing contract (assuming you terminate the contract), you have the option of purchasing the devices via Surface.Love. The advantage of leasing is that the leasing instalments are fully tax-deductible as business expenses, leasing is balance sheet neutral, and you can preserve your liquidity.
The difference between our as-a-Service offer and the leasing options is that more soft costs (licences, services, etc.) can be included in the contract. Another advantage is the flexibility of the leasing contract. With the as-a-Service option (innovation leasing option), you can convert the devices from the contract to a new generation of devices after a minimum term of the contract of 15 months.
Do I have to cancel my contract? Please note the information on termination and notice periods within your contract. Please contact our Surface Experts if you have any questions or need support.
How is my device insured? You can have your Surface and accessories covered by the optional electronics insurance offered in the contracts if you do not already have an existing electronics insurance. If you are interested in this, we are happy to provide you with the details of the scope of insurance, insurance fees, etc. Alternatively, you can find them in the contract documents.
Can I have the warranty options from the manufacturer Microsoft integrated into my contract? Of course, the warranty options of the manufacturer Microsoft can also be integrated into your contract. Contact our Surface Experts if you are interested in this or have any questions.
What happens if my device fails? In the event of a device failure, contact our Surface Experts by phone, e-mail or via our contact form. They will discuss the necessary steps with you, depending on the damage. If the case is covered by insurance or warranty, a repair and replacement will be initiated within a reasonable period of time. Please not that services such as remote maintenance, SLA or similar are regulated within the service agreement.
What happens after the term? There are various options for you to take over or return your used equipment after the term. For more details, please contact our Surface Experts.
Are all products offered? Yes, all current Surface devices are offered on Surface.Love. In addition, you can also receive compatible Microsoft accessories from us if required. We exclusively offer the latest products. Please contact our Surface Experts if you are interested in a product, software or service which you cannot find in our shop.
Is there a minimum order quantity? Whether you are a self-employed freelancer or a large company looking for a modern alternative to the outdated does not matter to us. We want to make the impressive world of Microsoft Surface available to all professionals at an affordable price.
Is it possible to get accessories or Microsoft licences without Surface devices? Surface.Love wants to support you with the latest Surface devices to fundamentally improve your digital workday. However, if you are only interested in licences, please contact our Surface Experts.
Can I order the devices without software? Of course. Surface.Love offers you the freedom to decide for yourself. You will only get what you really want. Accessories and software are therefore only optionally available from us.
Which operating system is installed on the devices? The Surface Go, the Surface Pro, the Surface Pro X, the Surface Laptop Go, the Surface Laptop, the Surface Book, the HoloLens and the Surface Studio use Windows 10 Pro. The Surface Go 3 can already be ordered with Windows 11 preinstalled. The Surface Hub uses Windows 10 and Office. The Surface Duo is equipped with the Android™ 10 operating system.
